My business is still considered a hobby by some people and this has been useful in growing and defining the business vice a side gig. This Implementation will be lots of work. I am a bit behind but catching up

Hi Judith, sometimes when businesses start as a hobby, you sell to family and friends. Converting them into “real” customers as you develop a rigorous business model can be difficult because they don’t understand everything that needs to go into the pricing structure now. Do you anticipate this being a problem in your business?

    Hi Erin,

not at all at the moment I have a healthy clientele and do not work with family. (or they are not forced too, lol). It is more about jumping from home base to a brick and mortar. I am too scared and enjoy my comfy workplace jut by myself and not having to deal with employees. This would be my next big step, not ready for a move and maybe never, maybe this is perfect.

Ah, I see what you mean. Yes, that’s a big leap. And you’re right, it’s not for everyone. Take your time, it’s a big commitment. The start up I work at currently just made the decision to sign a lease and it terrified us! It’s hard to know if you want to be in one location for that long and if we’ll always be able to afford the cost. People’s relationship to space has shifted dramatically over the pandemic and businesses are getting really creative on how to deliver their business activities without a long term relationship to a physical space of their own.
    Erin.
