In my case, it’s not really a pivot but a natural progression within my occupation as a Training Development officer in the military. For me, it’s figuring out what that looks like outside the constraints of the military, and how to carve out a space in the civilian world. Delving deep into the issues and determining the root cause of a problem is my true passion, as well as figuring out how to fix them. So often bandaid solutions are offered that don’t address the true source of the problem, such as providing more training that, at surface level, makes it LOOK like the problem has been solved.
